Fitness Apps
Just wondering if anyone uses fitness apps/sites. I just joined “My Fitness Pal” and “Fitocracy.” Love the former because its food database is massive. Dislike the former because tracking food may potentially harm my healthy relationship with it. Love the latter because it turns it into an online game, and who doesn’t like that. Dislike the latter because it has been difficult finding the name of strength training exercises. So far I only got dumbbell bicep curls and zumba logged for last Saturday. I couldn’t find “Dip Assists” or “Chin Assists” or “that behind the neck triceps pull up thingie.”
How do you track your strength training with Fitocracy?
Is there a list of common exercises with pictures and corresponding names from the Fitocracy database?
Oh, and how do I track my hour of bodypump class if I can’t remember all the exercises that we did?

Body pump classes ain’t no joke! I was not expecting intensive strength-endurance training. I thought it just involved instructors walking around perfecting one’s lifting postures. Oops. Today my body is sore. Mostly in the thighs because they never get a workout beyond H.I.I.T. on the elliptical. Shoulders too because I quit lateral raises for a while…
But really, the worst thing about the class are the damn smelly gym mats.
food and fitness and stuffs
I just joined my fitness pal and am diligently documenting my caloric intake. Today is a very typical day for a non-period week, which means I snack very little. Plus, I am changing my eating behavior so that I eat more for breakfast and lunch and sparingly for dinner. Today is also gym day which would include almonds and a banana for pre-workout and protein bar for post workout, and light dinner that is high in veggies.
So, it’s 4:36pm now. and I’m only at 600/1210 calories for the day. My intake looks like this:

So…have I not been eating enough calories this entire time? I’m kind of surprised.
